Remodeling

Chadwick Homes added additions and remodeling to their portfolio of design builds in 1999. Since then we have done a number of projects of varying size and scope. Photos of many can be seen in our gallery. Here are a few examples:

Melridge Drive, Concord - Partial build
Remove roof and add second floor bedrooms and master suite. Renovate attached garage into new family room area. Remove and reinstall Plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems of the remaining areas.

Trotwood Dr, Concord - Complete build
Add side master suite and rear great room and remove and replace existing kitchen area. Remove and replace most of the existing plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems. Remove the existing septic system and extend sewer and water and gas to the newly renovated home

Nancy Ann Drive, Concord - Partial build
Phase I - demo and renovate existing bedroom, closets, and master bath and rebuild as large glamour bath for the adjoining master bedroom suite. The new bath includes marble floor and walls, glass mosaic tiles, custom imported bath fixtures, and hand made doors and window shutters.
Phase II - Add 1850 sq ft of family recreation area. The new addition contains a loft and custom spiral staircase and wrought iron railing, polished concrete floors, 10-14 feet high walls with cathedral ceilings, radiant heated floors, and way too many other amenities to mention.

Kirtland-Chardon Rd, Chardon Twp. - Complete build
This period remodel was built to duplicate a 1920 built “arts and crafts”, or Craftsman style home. The original home was built in 1920 and still contained all of the original fixtures. A single story addition was built in the 1950s. Essentially we removed almost all of the 1950 addition except the foundation and added a 3000 sq ft two story addition, renovating a small portion of the 50s kitchen. Some of the original materials were reused and some reclaimed materials from salvage lots were incorporated for “old “detail, such as barn beams, stained glass transoms and light switch covers and light fixtures. The new kitchen and plumbing were all specially designed, and we achieved our goal to be able to walk from the original home into the new section and believe that it was all built together.

Smaller projects:

  • Nowlen Dr., Mentor - post built breezeway to connect the kitchen to the garage
  • Pinehill Dr., Concord - partial build of theater/ media room (the owner had old Luxor Hotel theater seats to install in front of his 100” screen), owner to finish
  • Chardon Rd., Chardon - partial build of a new master suite above the garage, owner to finish
  • Melridge Dr.,Concord - full kitchen and dinette remodel, all hickory cabinets and floors.

Joe and I want to express our appreciation for your excellent work in the construction of our family room addition and kitchen remodel. We could not be more pleased.

Your crews and subcontractors were skilled, courteous and always respectful of our home and family. They were also helpful with suggestions when I asked for advice on finishing options.

There was no "down time" between portions of the job. No sooner did one crew finish than the next was lined up and ready to go.

You were on site at least once each day - usually two or even three times. You made sure the job was going as we had agreed and kept a careful watch on the quality of the construction.

The construction site was cleaned up each day and all efforts were made to keep the construction dust from the rest of our house. You also planned the project to cause minimal inconvenience to our family.

You finished ahead of schedule and left our new rooms sparkling clean and ready for use.

You have made our dream of a truly functional and beautiful family room and kitchen a reality exceeding our expectations. We enjoyed working with you and will mention you to all our friends who may be looking for a superior builder.

Thank you again,

Lynne L. Mazeika
